On this rainy day, when it seems winter will never end, I remembered old customs.
Once upon a time, people lit fires, celebrated wild festivals, and indulged in various crazy customs. Among them were the Roman Saturanies, the Greek celebrations honouring the god Dionysus, the Iranian Nowruz, and the Celtic Samhain. And I could list them all. They all had the same purpose: to maintain life and light until the world turns upside down, the star Sirius appears in the sky again, and the days begin to get longer. Until December 25th, when a new year is born. Customs are as old as humanity, and only the name changes. Once, they ritually got drunk, made love, jumped over and walked on fire… but today… like anyone.
Therefore, today, I write about two things: The Arkanum Black Book, dedicated to Saturn, and “A Visual Analysis of the Myth of Psyche and Eros through Hegel’s Dialectic” which is my journey from Darkness to Light.

“Visual Analysis of the Myth of Psyche and Eros through Hegel’s Dialectic”
Soon to be Complete: The project I started in 2022 during an artist residency on the Greek island of Kefalonia will soon be finished. 108 miniature portraits are my journey through the old Orphic myth of Psyche and Eros. It is an ancient story about the Soul searching for Love.
At first, it seemed like a simple myth about the relationship between a woman and a man. Still, over time, it showed its multifaceted nature, and I could talk about it for hours. Above all, I realized that what we read and know today is such a truncated and poor version that it is no wonder that it sounds like an insignificant bedtime story to us.
However, I admit that in order to understand, I had to incorporate the knowledge of all these years of theoretical and practical exploration of the depths of human existence and artistic language. And so a project was born where I combined philosophy, Jungian psychology, mystical traditions of the East and the West (Sufi, alchemy, gnosis, Tao, …) and last but not least, 25 years of research into the language of art.
Three books
And after all this, it’s a shame that this remains hidden somewhere in my drawers. You know, when later art historians and collectors discover a notebook full of sketches and notes that no one understands anymore. And then everyone is amazed by the artist’s crazy world.
I will discover this crazy world myself. That’s why I’m creating three books at the same time—one for each series.
All of it will be possible to see in February at the exhibition in the Domžale Gallery.
